Announcing the Winter Lights Film Festival!

Movie fans – you’re in for a treat with the upcoming Winter Lights Film Festival!  Screenings will be held in Terang, Skipton and Camperdown from Friday 20th June to Sunday 22nd June 2014.

The highlight of the Film Festival will be opening night at The Civic in Terang on the Friday evening. It will feature the classic Buster Keaton silent film ‘The General’ with live musical accompaniment provided by John Hudson and Matt Hewson. Tickets to the launch event will be $20 and include drinks and supper before and after the film. The opening night event will follow a free matinee screening of ‘Green Card’, also in The Civic.

Alfred Hitchcock’s classic ‘Rebecca’ will screen at the Skipton Mechanics Institute Hall on Saturday evening, following on from the free afternoon screening of ‘More than Honey’. The Skipton program will also feature local film-maker Luis Bayonas’ short documentary ‘The Croquet Champions’, based on the remarkable achievement of Lismore’s Fletcher boys.

The Winter Lights Film Festival will conclude in Camperdown on Sunday, following on from the screening of the St Kilda Short Film Festival program on Saturday night.

There will be something for people of all ages and film tastes.
