When, by executive decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, 12-year-old Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

Don’t Tell

IT’S FILM WEEK! The Corangamite Film Society is ready to roll for our 2019 Thursday Pictures screening program, beginning with Australian drama ‘Don’t Tell’.

With help from a local lawyer, a young abuse survivor finds the courage to speak out when having a voice is her only option. Starring Jack Thompson, Aden Young, Sara West and Rachel Griffiths.

FILM WEEK – Pillow Talk – FREE December Screening

An early Christmas present from the Corangamite Film Society to you is our final screening for the year this Thursday! As our way of thanking our members and guests for their great support this year, our screening of ‘Pillow Talk’ is FREE for all. Starring Rock Hudson and Doris Day, this 1959 romantic romp will be a delight. Come down to Camperdown’s Killara Centre from 7.30pm to celebrate the end of our 2018 season. We will also be announcing the first half of our 2019 program and handing out programs. Keep an eye on this website for the release of the full program details.

Pillow Talk – FREE December screening

The results are in! Our free December screening will be the 1959 classic ‘Pillow Talk’ starring Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Thank you to the 21 respondents for having your say, as well as those who gave us a few suggestions for our 2019 program. Please come along to the Killara Centre for our last screening of 2018 for a night full of laughs on Thursday, December 6.


It’s film week!!! Make sure to make your way down to the Killara Centre this Thursday to catch a glimpse into the struggles of Winston Churchill (Brian Cox) leading up to one of the most important turning points of World War II. We will also be announcing the winner of our December film survey before the screening. If you haven’t voted yet, there is still time to have your say:

Hello all Corangamite Film Society members and guests,

as some of you may know, we are offering our last film for 2018 as a way of thanking you for supporting us this year. We have also decided to again give you the power to decide what the December screening should be. Please select your preferred film via the below link. Hope to see you there to end the year on a high note.

Our choices for this year are ‘Galaxy Quest’ (1999), ‘Pillow Talk’ (1959) and ‘Isle of Dogs’ (2018). Also please let us know if you think of anything you would like to see in our 2019 program.

Our November screening of ‘Churchill’ is also on next Thursday at the Killara Centre from 7.30pm.

The Corangamite Film Society AGM will be held on Thursday 6th Septemer, 2018 at 7pm in the Killara Centre, Camperdown (immediately before our screening of ‘Goodbye Lenin’).  All welcome!
