The 2018 Corangamite Film Society season starts tomorrow night, with ‘Stranger than Fiction’ screening at the Killara Centre, Camperdown at 7.30pm, Thursday 1st February. We look forward to welcoming back familiar faces and hope to make some new friends too! Please make sure you arrive in time to complete your registration before the film starts.

THANKYOU!
Here at the Corangamite Film Society, we find that the best way to express ourselves is through film. So to say THANKYOU to our members for a fabulous year, we’re offering a free screening in December – come along and see ‘Tanna’ on Thurs 7th December, 7.30pm in the Killara Centre, Camperdown. We ask that you bring a plate of supper to share – we want to be able to thank Christine (The Minister for Suppers) and give her the night off too! Hope to see you there…
Stranded…
The November screening for Corangamite Film Society is “The Hunt for the Wilderpeople”, a film from 2016 that tells the story of a boy and his foster father who became lost in the New Zealand wilderness. Come for the film – and stay for the supper!
Ex_Machina
It’s a little bit drama, a little bit mystery and a little bit sci-fi – and you can stay for a little bit of supper afterwards! This month’s film is ‘Ex_Machina’ and it features a beautiful robot and a computer coder called Caleb. Come along to the Killara Centre on Thursday 5th October at 7.30pm to find out more…
Changing of the guard
The AGM last week saw a change in committee members – and we are excited to have some new faces on board! A big welcome to Louise, Garth and Matthew – they’ll be joining Belinda, Ray, Gail, Pete, Barb, Simon and Tony on the committee and will be shaping the direction of the Corangamite Film Society for the next twelve months. We farewell Garry, Anna and Jared from the committee, and thank them for their hard work in previous years.

A little bit of Thursday night magic

The 34th St Kilda Film Festival is taking it to the road, bringing you some of the most innovative and inspiring short films from the nation’s leading filmmaking talent. The evening will include two programs with a short interval in between. Tickets available at the door – $15 ($12 concession).
