Mulholland Drive, a surrealist neo-noir mystery directed by David Lynch, follows Betty Elms, a bright-eyed aspiring actress who arrives in Los Angeles full of hope. She meets Rita, a mysterious woman suffering from amnesia after a violent car crash on Mulholland Drive. Together, they attempt to uncover Rita’s identity, drawing them deeper into Hollywood’s shadowy underside. Parallel storylines involving a troubled film director, cryptic figures, and uncanny events blur the line between dream and reality. 

As the film’s structure begins to fracture, it becomes a haunting exploration of identity, desire, ambition, and the illusions of love, fame, and cinema.
