Thursday 5 March 2026 – 7.30pm @ Killara Centre, Camperdown
Loosely based on the true story of Salma Zidane, a Palestinian widow whose lemon grove becomes a security threat when Israel’s defence minister moves in next door. Ordered to uproot her trees, Salma challenges the decision through the Israeli legal system, supported by a young lawyer. As the case unfolds, an unexpected, silent bond forms between Salma and the minister’s lonely wife.
The film explores power, resistance, and dignity in everyday life, using the lemon grove as a symbol of identity, and quiet defiance amid the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
