In this 2009 Argentinian film, a retired criminal investigator sets out to write a novel on the closed case of a brutal homicide he worked on 25 years earlier. He discovers he is still disturbed by memories left unexplained and unsolved.
Described as a compelling crime thriller, the plot reveals mysteries of the past and present through the unsolved crime, unrequited love and one man’s haunting obsession. Rated MA, English subtitles.
The film received an Academy Award in 2010 for Best Foreign Language Film, and in 2016 was ranked No. 91 by international critics for the BBC’s 100 Greatest Films of the 21st Century.
