In the lead up to NAIDOC Week, we will be screening two documentaries – ‘Contact’ and ‘The Song Keepers’.
‘Contact’ is based on the moment in 1964 when a group of Martu people in the Great Sandy Desert came into contact with Europeans for the first time.
‘The Song Keepers’ tells the story of an Aboriginal women’s choir and their tour of Germany.
‘Contact’ and ‘The Song Keepers’ will be screened on Thursday 5th July at 7.30pm in the Theatre Royal, Camperdown. There will be a brief interval between the two documentaries.
